Unicef: Chairpersons of the Committee on the Rights of the Child visit Cambodia to advocate for the well-being of the most vulnerable childreness release
On 8 November 2023, Unicef Cambodia issued a press release on the visit to Cambodia of the Chairpersons of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) to advocate for the implementation of recommendations made in 2022 to enhance the well-being of children and young people in the country.
During the visit, Chairperson, Ann Skelton, and Vice Chairperson, Sopio Kiladze, participated in discussions with officials and representatives from relevant government ministries and institutions, United Nations agencies, and development partners, as well as with child rights civil society and non-governmental organizations, including adolescent and youth networks and the Cambodia Human Rights Committee.
